In this area, all of the lodges and teahouses have similar menus. For breakfast menus are like; Bread/Toast, eggs, potatoes, cakes, and Porridge. Dal, Bhat, soups noodles, and Pasta are the menus for lunch and dinner. If you are at a large group we suggest having your food at trails because it takes a little bit of time for making food. Within that time you can take your time for rest and you don’t need to carry foods yourself. It makes your trek easier.

Cost of Guide and Porter

First of all, you need to check the license of your guide which is issued by the Government of Nepal if you are hiring a guide for your journey because it might cause a problem. Every guide should have a license certified by the government. The price of the guide starts from $25 if you are hiring a guide. If you are hiring an experienced guide they charge $30 per day. It all about your choice.

What is the main difference between a guide with limited experience and an experienced guide?

There are some differences between experienced and un-experienced guide. If there cause an emergency case experienced guide can solve that problem easily but it is in case of an un-experienced guild he might not solve it cause he may not face such difficulties before and what steps to take and so on.

So that we humbly recommend you choose a trekking agency rather than an individual guide but if you have good relations with an experienced guide then you can recommend them too. If you are recommending an individual guide then be sure he is insured. For an experienced guide check the review of that agency which may help you to choose a good and experienced guide.

Porter

While hiring a porter be sure that he is insured and correct gear. Make sure to hire your porter for Pokhara or Kathmandu. If you hire a porter on trails then they may charge $20 per person.
